How does the self-referral process work?

Navigating the self-referral process is an important step towards your healing journey, and we understand that you will likely have questions about Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. Many answers can be found in our FAQs, including medical eligibility criteria and the process you’ll go through during treatment.

Step 1
Referral received

Our clinical team is reviewing your referral to confirm the treatment is suitable for you and will call if we have any questions.

Step 2
Referral verified

Once verified, we will need a copy of your Summary Care Record (SCR) from your GP - don’t worry, we can support you with this.

Step 3
SCR received

After receiving your SCR, our consultant psychiatrist will review your case & schedule you in for an Initial Medical Assessment (IMA)

Step 4
Initial Medical Assessment (IMA)

You are invited to the clinic to discuss your background with our consultant psychiatrist to ensure the treatment is right for you.

Step 5
Begin treatment

After your IMA, our multi-disciplinary team will review your case and allocate a therapist; our team will contact you to schedule the appointments and begin treatment.

Eligibility

Your responses will provide valuable insights into your needs, allowing us to tailor our approach to your treatment.

To ensure your eligibility for Ketamine-Assisted Therapy,  we will conduct a thorough assessment, which includes  a review of your medical notes held by your GP (with your consent) and, if needed, a face-to-face medical assessment at our clinic.
